The Unity Center Endowment Fund provides an ongoing stream of revenue to help ensure a strong future for the Unity Center as the organization continues its mission to build hope and opportunity by promoting educational, social and spiritual growth for all.
Enrichment, community building, responsibility, life skills….add to that some fun, laughter and music and you get just a taste of what happens at the Unity Center afterschool program each Monday through Thursday.
Some recent activities enjoyed by the students include the annual skating party and Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. In addition, fourth graders and three of their Youth Leader Scholars went to Nashville to the State Museum. While there, they also enjoyed a tour of the Capitol and a “photo op” with Representative Kevin Brooks. In March, the third graders and their youth mentors took a trip to the Tellus Science Museum in Georgia. The fifth graders have been participating in the Unity Center’s 11th Annual Dress for Success program and will present themselves at the 18th Annual Teacher Tea on April 10.
These activities and many others are made possible by donors who have joined together to ensure the continuation and success of the Unity Center programs. You can learn more about the Unity Center and its programs and activities by visiting the Unity Center website.
Donations can be made by simply writing a check to the Community Foundation designated to the Unity Center Endowment Fund or online.
