The Community Foundation of Cleveland and Bradley County offers a wide array of philanthropic opportunities for donors who have a vision of what our community can be and are willing to share the blessings that they have received.  While the tax and estate planning advantages are significant, the opportunity to give back to the community is a powerful motivation as well.

You may contribute to an existing fund or establish your own unique fund based on your personal charitable goals.

Unity CenterWhat are your dreams?

  • To provide an income stream for one or more nonprofit organizations?
  • To create a scholarship in honor of a loved one?

Establishing your fund at the Community Foundation is simple. Whether you know exactly which charitable causes you want to support or if you have a charitable heart and are not sure where to start, the Community Foundation is happy to provide expert advice on establishing a fund that will fulfill your charitable wishes.

What to expect when starting a fund

Consider which charitable causes you wish to support and contact us at the Community Foundation to have a confidential, no obligation discussion about your charitable interests.

As appropriate, involve family members and/or your financial advisors in planning your charitable gift.

Do you want to establish your fund with a gift of cash, appreciated stock, bonds, real estate, or a gift from your estate after your lifetime?

The Community Foundation staff can help you explore your options. Together, we will help you select the type of fund that best meets your charitable goals. For more information about the different types of funds at the Community Foundation, visit Types of Funds.
